Default Tint Preperation

I'm looking to get my windows tinted this week and I wanted to check with you guys to see if what the tint shop told me is accurate. The guy told me before bringing the car in, I need to remove the inner door panel and adjust the top window guide out a little or it will leave streaks in the tint. Did any of you guys have to do this? Thanks.

Ok, well I just dropped the car off to get tints done.

Is there a rule of thumb of how long you should wait until you can roll down the windows?

I have seen a few f-bodys with their tint ripped, it looks like to stripes running down the window. Sometimes you will just see rubbing marks without any tearing. In either case it is caused by the window guide. Not everyone has this problem.
