Default camaro splitter (made by me)

I was bored and decided to take a stab at making my own splitter. I have used fiberglass in the past for various projects and this is by no means my first attempt at using this stuff. I made a half template out of foam board from home depot then flipped it over to make the other half so both sides are the same. Then taped the two together and sanded it smooth, giving it a rounded edge. Next, connected the two halves together and wrapped the template in foil to protect the foam. Then it was all fiberglass material ("kitty hair" and woven material) and resin to cover the template. The rest is all cutting and numerous sanding to make it smooth and even. Finally primer then paint (I used textured paint to make any repairs in the future easier to touch up). I tested it out for the past week at various speeds for strength and durability, and with that and daily driving all was fine. Overall it was a PITA with all the prep and sanding, but I only spent about $60 in supplies and countless labor hours to complete it. I am pleased with the results and it is very strong with all the material and layers put into it. I know some don't like the splitters, but I didn't spend much and if I get tired of it I can take it off.
For some reason the beginning pics show up way too big so here is the all I could post at a normal size.

I wanted it to have more of a lip to it so I rounded the edges making it a little thicker. The design was easy I just traced the lines of the front bumper with a thin pole and a sharpie taped on it onto the foam board below the bumper.

I like it alot. I think it compliments the rest of your car and your color scheme amazingly.

looks really nice.

i think you would make a good non-biased opinion because you made it yourself.... do you honestly notice a difference in handling at speed?

I'm sure on a long high speed run it may, but at the various short speeds I tested it for strength the only thing I noticed was the car ran a little cooler on the h-way.

u seriously want to argue about this? All cars have a basic shape too ya know. I'm just saying there are a lot of different splitters out there. I have yet to see one that looks good IMO. Z06 and ZR1 do, but thats it for chevy.

I agree, but to each his own and credit due for the hard work put in

EDIT: I do like the look of the car, the sticks set it off IMO
