floor mount 5 point harnesses

i have a trans am with new bucket seats from summit and i dont have a cage but i do want 5 point harnesses. what brand of harnesses would you recomend for bolting to the floor

well idk, if its safe, its mostly just a show car and the harnesses are just for looks. i wish i had a cage to bolt it to, but i dont have one yet

just to play devils advocate....if you roll the car and you are strapped into your seat with a 4/5 point harness....and no cage/roll bar your neck will be holding the car up

wouldnt i still be with just a regular seat belt?

I'm with you. It's just not safe. you get in a wreck with a 5-point harness bolted to the floor it can compress your spine. Once you lower the attachment point of the shoulder straps you alter the angle in which the force of impact will effect your body. Attached to a cage it'll hold you from moving forward since the attachment points are close to shoulder height. you move that location down lower than that & it'll still keep you from moving forward in a crash, but it'll also make your body try to compress downward which can injure your spine.

Not worth it IMO.
