I need help removing my overhead console in my '00 GMC Sierra ! - could anybody help me with pictures or details on how to properly remove the overhead console in my 2000 GMC Sierra without busting it up ?
im about to fatmat the ceiling to go along with the rest of the trucks interior insualtion and i just cant see how it is attatched

Kinda depends on which overhead console you have, short or long. However my 2000 Silverado has the short one with one philips screw in the front then pull the back straight down out of the locking clasps (one toward each corner). I don't think the long one is much different. To be safe look for at least 1 screw (look in the opening compartments) then try sliding it forward to unhook it from the headliner.
