Default raptor hood

I wanna get a raptor hood or somethin similar to it for my trans am. I've been lookin everywhere and the only place i found one was on ebay for $700. Is there anywhere to get one on the net especially more affordable? that's a **** load of money on a hood when a regular ws6 aftermarket can be had for half the price. i just wanna stand out from the rest of the trans ams around here

yes i'm aware of that. i checked vfn already and they don't have a raptor style hood. i know there is no way to get a superhawk hood anymore but i did find the raptor hood in the ws6 store. same price as ebay. just wondering if someone knows where they're a little cheaper or is $700 just wat its gonna take

for the more rare aftermarket hoods 600-700 is about what its going to be.. some may be a little more, some may be a little less.. if you go with something more common, like a ws6 you can pick them up for around 450-500..

gotta pay to play (or be different in this case)!

I just put a suncoast raptor hood on my 99 trans am and it looks great except for a big gap where the hood end meets the bumper and headlights. Any suggestions on how to make that almost 3/8'' gap smaller

They cost what they cost for a reason. I'm sure they are worth it. They're even more if you get the new lid for them... I like them a lot though. By far my favorite looking hood on the birds or at least tie's with superhawk and firehawk.

I had the same issue when I installed one last year. I actually had them send me another hood, but I had the same problem with both hoods. In the end I payed a body shop to do some extra fiberglass work to the back edge and around the front opening to make it right.

Here is a couple of pics from last fall after the install

I have the hood even with the line at the top and I don't see where adjustments can be made, the bolt holes for the hood brackets aren't slotted to where I can slide the hood forward ( and if I did then the top of the hood would look off) and nor do I see how I can adjust the front bumper closer in. Fiberglassing is out of the question, the hood is painted and installed. Please someone give me the magic trick on how to pull the bumper in closer by almost a 1/4". I haven't posted a picture yet but my car is Pewter with the Ram air painted in black along with the Pontiac logo on the headlight cover painted black and the bird painted black on the license plate insert. It looks great except for that darn gap.

My brand new Raptor has the same issue with the gap. The gap is also not even across the nostrils.

heads up on getting the raptor hood, you will need to get the matching airbox too. You can use the stock one, but the airflow is different and its way more restrictive. I had to use the stock one while waiting for a replacement piece on the new one since it got damaged in shipping.
