Just Got Back from Colorado Custom Chrome and he told me he could do all of that for under $300 bucks. He says he does huge diesel front bumpers for $325. So, I guess we will see.

I would say give him a call.

His info:

Colorado Custom Chrome
128 S. 2nd Street (US 85)
La Salle, CO 80645
(970)-284-6552
Ask for Adam.

Tell Him, it is for a LS1. And that Matt came in earlier and talked to you about dipping some parts chrome. Then see what cost he quotes you.

Might be worth your time.

What kind of prep work is he going to do for you? Is that striping and polishing them or JUST plating them? It sounds like he is going to a "industrial" quality chrome not a show chrome. I am VERY VERY VERY skeptical.

But if its good I will give him enough suspension pieces to keep him tied up for a month!

Let me know how it turns out. For that price I could ship some stuff up there and still save money.

So that stuff will work with the sanding methods listed on the first page?

I will ask him this very question before I go any further with the chroming process. Thanks for the heads up.

I have everything wet sanded and polished to the best and can do with sand paper. Is there any other prep that I need to keep in mind before sending it to chrome?

remember how much the upkeep is on polished stuff. your gonna hafta polish it at least twice a year, and thats for cars that arent even driven much. for that price, just get the things chromed and be done.

He's making you do your own prep work? That's a bit odd.

pretty sure I was thumbing through some parts magazine the other day and there was a march (I THINK) pulley set that looked to be chromed/stainless, have to see if I can find it again, I want to say it was a 1500ish?
