I put a B&M Hammer shifter in mine . It is a rachet shifter , just looks ALOT more modern than a mega-shifter . I did have to fab a flat plate to mount the shifter on . The hammer shifter came with switches for the reverse lights and nuetral safety . I used a 6-speed console plate to make it look factory installed <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> Pics are below .

must have b&m hammer shifter in my 2002 ss the stock a4 shifter must go and how hard was the wireing to do

i hate rachet shifters. i had one on an old fox body i use to have and it was a pain in the *** to drive everyday. click it down 4 times just to get her going. and it didn't make it shift any faster...i'd rather just have a factory shifter

i was interested as well. did alot of searching and it appears that a model was going to be made for our cars and then never was.
