Seriously guys! No one cares which f-body yall like better. Thats not what this thread is about! Don't drown this thread in bickering rhetoric, lets keep it on topic. If you wanna bash either the camaro or firebird, there are a hundred other threads to go and do that. Only one f-body lambo thread tho..

5. SOME OF THE ITEMS YOU WILL NEED TO PURCHASE TO COMPLETE YOUR SUPERCAR AND MOST OF THEM CAN BE BOUGHT ON EBAY: HEADLIGHT PROJECTOR BULBS, FRONT BLINKER LIGHTS, WHEELS AND TIRES, WHEEL-ADAPTERS WITH SPACERS, SIDE-DOOR GLASS, SMALL QUARTER-GLASS, BACK-GLASS, INTERIOR-PANELS COVERED AT AN UPHOLSTERY SHOP, DONOR CAR STRETCHED, METAL-FRAME WELDED FOR BODY-KIT TO MOUNT ON DONOR CAR, MECHANIC TO RE-ATTACH THE WIRES AND HOSES ON THE DONOR CAR AFTER IT IS STRETCHED, BONDO AND PAINT WORK AT A PAINT SHOP, HINDGES FOR ALL DOORS, DOOR POPPERS, STEREO SYSTEM, SEAT BELTS, GRILL MESH, EXHAUST SYSTEM, REAR-VIEW MIRRORS, LATCHES FOR ALL DOORS, REAR BRAKE-LIGHT BULBS, SMALL ROUND LAMBO DASH-VENTS, FRONT WINDSHIELD, ALSO YOU WILL NEED TO BUY MINOR ITEMS YOU WILL DISCOVER THAT YOU WILL NEED AS YOU COMPLETE YOUR SUPERCAR PROJECT.
you pretty much have to buy everything but the body. 15k for just a body is rediculous

I understand what you're saying BUT to be fair, the kit isn't out till next month. This fine print is pertaining to a car based on a fiero which may rewuire extra stuff becuase the kit was designed for a stock firebird.camaro. Wait till the actual kit comes out and see what it says.

I wonder if you can buy just the interior and it would bolt into our cars, it doesnt look like they modified anything under the a-pillar meaning its all the same, the interior should bolt right in! I wish we had some better pics of it.

I like how they used a gas powered chop saw to cut off the a-pillars out in the front yard. For some reason, I can't see Chip Foose doing it that way.

I'd rather build a GTM. I just can't see this kit turning out to be that great looking.

If i had spare time that would actually be pretty fun. And it would actually be powerful unlike the fiero powered kits

not to extand the camaro vs trans am rate.

but park both nose to nose. the trans am has body lines and looks great.

the camaro looks like someone put a ramp infront of the trans am. seriously it is like a wedge we used to used to hold doors open.

I didn't watch the videos, but if the kit is replacing the whole body of the donor camaro/firebird, then why not just get the subframe off a junker and start from there?

Can that car even be structurally safe?? I just watched the video and they cut a lot off the frame and it seems like the whole kit is just fiberglass you slap on. At least with the GTM and other kit cars, you get reinforcement. A full cage in the case of the GTM. Granted they send you a new frame and everything, but still. They don't seem to even add any compensating support in the areas they cut or at least box anything in to keep out moisture.

The seats in the GTM though are freakin RIVETED to a super thin piece of sheet metal! You can't tell me thats safe either!
