WS6 Hood or Leave it
Just got the car and I'm weighing options. I already have a Pewter 2000 Trans am and it IS a WS6. I'll be tossing most of the WS6 components onto this car. ( swaybars and springs) because they are laying around.
what do you all think?

I have the WS9 and I love it. The Firehawk heat extractors are enough subtle differences that sets it apart from a stock WS6 hood but looks amazing. I get tons of complements on my hood.

I would've already put a WS9, WS6, or superhawk hood on my car. Think that's the best look for our cars. But I just can't bring myself to part with my paint job, and i sure as hell don't wanna pay to have it done again.

Wow, your car looks just like mine! I've been debating this too. I love the way the WS6 hood looks, but I also like the "sleeper" effect of having the regular hood. People don't expect such a plain looking car to be fast.

IMO the WS6 hood and the WS9 hood should be the same because they ARE the same just one has heat extractors and the other doesn't. The only other options out there that are good other then the WS6 (which IMO yea looks great but every LS1 Firebird/Formula/TA has one, is either the Raptor, Firehawk, Superhawk, or Mecham.
Personally I'd go Mecham...you gotta pay to play. Be different and step out of the WS6 box...

I have a sleek beak... it doen't bother me at all, under the hood is what counts!
Im more worried about go-fast mods at the moment!
If I had one sitting around i would throw it on though....

OP, you already stated that you do not like the Firehawk hood, but that is the only one that I do like. The lack of a partition makes the hood flow better with the lines of that area. The smoother transition from the hood to the bumper has a "meant-to-be-there" look that I prefer.
I already know my opinion is very much in the minority, so with all of that said, you should walk into your garage, take a look at the front of your car, and the first thought that comes to mind, go with it.
