that's pretty cool.i know him. i belive he lives here in San diego. we had him @ a show my club put together this past may. He's doing another show next month a few blocks from my house.
here's a pic of him with my GF(burnett).

I always run into jay leno @ car shows. once i get my engine bay repainted and mint. I'll try and get Jay to sign my car.

I am about ready to attempt to pain everything inside my engine bay a Satin Black to resemble the ole school look and not be too flashy. The SOM goes great with the satin black... here are pics of my bay now. It actually looks like its cleared in the pic but in real life it is a completely different orange and looks bad. I am going to use the same satin paint that i used for the berger panel.

yeah. dupli color makes a copper orange metallic paint that matches 99.9% perfectly with the engine bay color. that's what i used on my manifold.incase u wanted a better match with your mani and engine bay.
post some more pics of your car plz.looks really nice.

also, how do you remove the pcm? thinking about removing the ac lines/canister. it looks like it might be in the way.

I removed the headlight assembly, bumper support, traction control and the battery.
I'm also going to remove the manifold to try and reach the firewall.

I still need to remove the pcm, maybe the ac lines. i also have to work on the master cylinder area. anyone remove the brake fluid resivor? and what should i disconect to remove the fuse box besides the lil clips at the bottom?sorry guys. this is my first time removing all these areas.thanks!

it was quite filthy there. and to think that everyone thinks i have one of the cleanest engine bay on here...lol!

Here are a few of mine and what it looked like during the operation. Aluminum foil helps alot, bed sheets, plastic sheets as well. Make sure to cover the rest of the car so you don't get over spray on it. Take your time and it will come out fine.

The PCM is held in by a clip on either side of the plastic holder (after you unplug it of course.) It will slide out and then just those two little screws in the front hold the plastic thing in.

I just used a tube of body filler you can get from walmart. It took me about 3 to 4 applications cause when it dries it will sink a little into the holes. You just have to keep building it up then sand smooth. Not hard just takes a little time. I then just used scotch brite pad to smooth everything out. primed then painted with duplicolor wheel paint. the wheel paint seems to be a little more durable and matched my silver pretty well. Then about 3 to 4 coats of wheel clear.
