Ram Air ?'s Hey, i have a stock Trans Am and was thinking about putting on a WS6 style hood. I was looking for some insight on who sells the best fitting, and cheapest, <img border="0" title="" alt="[Embarrassed]" src="gr_emb.gif" /> , also, what components i would need for my air box. A ram air kit, lid, whole new air box, i really dont know anything about this stuff, but i know that someone here can help me out!

Re: Ram Air ?'s i'm doing the same thing you are with a 98 trans am. i'm going with a factory hood since i hear they fit the best and are the cheapest. check a salvage yard. your stock upper airbox should work but you'll need a new lower one.

Re: Ram Air ?'s I would guess a savage yard would be your best bet for the high-rise airbox. I have a stock Trans AM. I got the airbox from a totaled 98 Ram-air, and I'm odering the Ram-Air H.O. hood from SLP.

I paid only $375 as it was a GP goin on when i ordered. I doubt a salvage yard will sell the ws6 hood for anything less than 800, thaz wut the yard here was asking.

Re: Ram Air ?'s I like the APM (Adv. Plastics Mfg) Hood best. Molded exactly after the GM hood but MUCH cheaper. I had them paint it for another $250 and it turned out great.
