Default HID's for Trans Am's/Firebirds - More Pics & Stuff

Hey guys,

As some of you may know, I have a writeup for buying/installing NON-PROJECTOR HID's into a Firebird/Trans Am. I still see a lot of questions floating around in the forum and thru PM's, and I just wanted to share some more pictures and a video I have. Some people might not look through all the pages of my writeup and see everything that they would like to.

First off, here's the writeup:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearanc...-trans-am.html

And some pics..

There's a lot more glare in this pic than the lights really produce. Thank you point and shoot camera!

Here's a video of the car on the road, just look at how far the light actually travels. I remember when I had stock lighting, I couldn't tell they were on. Also, watch the highway signs light up from all the way down the road

I just felt like some more people needed to be informed that we actually CAN easily do this with our Bird's. Hopefully mods don't mind that I added this in. If anyone has any questions, let me know.

Brian

Light output looks great. I might do this over the winter since the car will be getting painted as well.

Yeah you can really see great with these HID's. I just wanted people to see how great they are, so many people ask the same questions over and over lol.

Are you painting the car flat black? You should do SEM Hot Rod black.

Lookin' good there man! I have 8500k in lows and foglights, planning to do a conversion on the highs later with something in the 5000-6500k range.

Thats what color it's getting done in. Already got the price quote, just waiting on my bonus check in December & she goes in for paint. Since the guy does all our company vechicles & has known my boss forever he is only charging my $600 all jams included.

Got a few other goodies in mind as well.

Curious, why did you go with the 12000k? Was it just aesthetics? I was concerned about picking up a ticket, and losing light, so I stuck to 4500k on mine.
