Default 1994 Project Firebird 95% complete

Well it took me and Camar0Corey 4 months. But the engine is in and I'm done with the interior. I just need to get some seatbelts, auto shift boot, Tint the corners and windows, apply some more vinyl dye, and of course get her all polished up and clean. But I think she looks like a winner. Some before and after shots. I wonder if maybe I should cut down the Shifter some more. I cut a good inch or so off of it. But Man that Pistol grip is amazing and comfortable. I was really surprised that we chirped the tires when going from 1st to 2nd in the car with an auto. I didn't think it was possible.

She now has a 3k Stall from Monster Transmission, CC503 Cam,Pacesetter Long Tubes and ORY, AC Delete Pulley, Underdrive pulley, Scorpion 1.6 RR, Ported Heads, 916 Springs , some other little stuff i can't remember, and Interior is redone

Before

After

(yah i know some over spray, nothing a little brake cleaner can't fix)

Engine bay looks 100% better. Mine looks exactly how it did before you cleaned it. Lets hope I can make it look that good! Great job on the car man!

Thanks. I mean it has it's faults. Like the over spray. But I will take care of that in a few minutes. The Krylon fusion is amazing with awesome prep work.

I'm just glad the engine bay is now Black instead of green. Took a good day or two sanding it down, getting the rust out of it and then painting it. I love her in all her glory lol.

Actually just bought the Auto shifter adapter with the pistol grip on e-bay. You can buy the adapter off the WS6 store I believe. Just gotta cut down the auto stalk really.

I will Once she gets out of the garage. She isn't firing up at the moment. Trust me, she doesn't go out till she gets cleaned. Just went for a little test ride but now she isn't firing.

Pretty much used Krylon fusion and cleaned and preped the surface. I still have the dash to do still. I don't think it's that bad but hey, different strokes for different folks. Of course, it's dusty as hell in there so it needs a good cleaning. Like I said, 95% complete

In all honesty man, I think you should take more time in the prep work. The way it sits right now, makes me like the two-tone interior better. If you're going to dye your parts, you should at least take them out and tape off parts you don't want dye to touch. Just being honest.

I hear ya, I'm looking for new door panels right now, but I bought the seats the way they are from a buddy. So yes, they need to be redyed.

And I shall take all the opinions and turn them into positives as well. Tomorrow morning I'll probably redo the doors and what not. What else needs to be done you guys think?

25 bucks for the carpet I didn't think was bad either.....But I guess I just need to take some with the flash off....no idea...blah

Apparently the flash does suck ***. Maybe I'll take some without flash Sad thing is, it was honestly a good two weekend job. The Carpet alone was one weekend alone just getting the smell out of it and steam cleaning it. Then of course another weekend prepping and painting the panels. I do think the Auto stalk needs to come down some more. That Pistol grip is do damn tall.....blah.

Wow.. you should have checked out my thread on here. I painted my interior and it looks factory.

With those paint runs and the globs I dont think it would ever be right again, you would have to sand to remove the stuck on paint or hope to use a chemical strip that wouldnt eat the plastic up.

Sanding the panels ruins the texture.

All you needed to do was take the panels out. wash them with dawn and rinse well. wait for it to dry and then spray it up. let it dry and put them back in.

You need to cover the carpet in the door panels with leather using the guides. Then re-spray some of those panels.

Did you use gloss or satin?

Sorry dude but I would spend the extra 15 bux and get some satin paint and re-do that.
Light even burst sprays and it covers it perfect.

Check my thread for pics. I went from graphite to ebony. flawless transiton.

I found a car in a junk yard this morning that has most of it's panels. Looks like I'm going to be changing the interior from painted crap to stock color. Gotta love junk yard finds
