to everybody wondering.....its super easy to pull the plastic piece off the car just a few pull out plastic clips. Might as well paint the wiper arms while your at it, they get pretty faded

I sprayed mine with meguiers nxt insane tire coating and it looks great, not sure how long it will last though. When that wears off I will try this, the cost of this is about the same as the cost for the meguiers.

I use the blue stuff from Zax Wax and it is amazing...but why on earth did you go to the extent of taping everything off like that? Its not like you were spaying something or painting it. Wouldnt it just wipe off with instant detailer or something if you had gotten it on the paint or on the windshield? I bet it took 10xs longer to tape it than it did to apply the stuff.

-but you are right, it did take a lot of time to mask it off. but, it made for an easier, cleaner application.

Instead of Zax Wax?
How does it hold up in rain? (I know...like your car ever gets close to a rain drop LOL)

Yeah, I was trying to do 10 things at once. Of course the SOM car doesnt ever see rain but I use it on all my other cars too and it holds up well and its very easy to use. There are tons of uses for it...and it makes the inside plastic look INCREDIBLE too. Its MUCH MUCH better than armoral and doesnt get greasy like some of the silicone based stuff.

After seeing how good it came out on someone else's car I decided to paint the cowl and wiper arm covers. I would strongly suggest removing the cowl for this, it's not difficult at all. Remove wipers, remove push in fasteners, remove hood seal, disconnect the windshield sprayer nozzles and it lifts right off. I used Krylon Fusion spray paint (made for plastic) in gloss black. Here's some pics:
