There are always some on Ebay. You can go to Valentine's website and put in the serial number and see what model it is. The website will also tell you which upgrades are available along with the price. Now that doesn't mean the unit will work. You are still buying a used unit. I watched the ones on Ebay for a while and decided to buy from Valentine. I believe that is the only place to buy them new?

no I didnt I got the regular one.

thats all you need it worked good on my Ws6 and on my SS.

best place would be straight from V1 either a new one or a refurb for like $350 has same amount of warranty and everything.

has anyone tapped the power wires from the dome lights on the rear view? i bought a crappy hardwire kit from bestbuy and the power splurge from the car going from the on position to the start position resets my detectors internal memory. (if you have ever noticed your radio turns off when you start the car you know what im talking about)

see post 27, hes got it hardwired to the rearview but idk about the whole reset thing? what does that hurt?

doesnt hurt anything, i have a whistler pro 78 with alot of different features that i usually turn off. i hate the voice function and the test function, they annoy me. when you start the car it makes the alert sounds, then voice band identification. the whole process takes like two minutes
