Fuel Rail Covers on a 2000 Camaro??
I can't seem to make mine fit..?? I can't even lay them on top to get a feel for where to cut them. My buddy has a 98 WS6 and I can lay them right on top. I can't even get mine halfway across the Valve covers. I only have about ONE inch of clearance between the top of the cowl and the engine. He has four inches plus! How did you guys do it? And with that much clearance with no breathing room did anyone notice hotter temps under there?
God this is frustrating!

Start with the passenger side and remove about 1 1/2 " of material in a "U" shape at about the center of the back of the FRC. This will give you clearance for the wire harness in the back. Don't worry about the cutting, it can't be seen once they're installed.
Hint: wear gloves to protect your hands
The plastic holders for the harness will keep snagging the clips on the underside of the covers so squeeze your hands under there as you slide them in to check fit.
It takes quite a bit of cutting on both sides to get them on.
There were pictures of the final cuts but I can't remember which board they were on.

You're going to have to remove some material to get it to fit right....I removed about 2" from the passenger side FRC & contoured it around the wiring harness. While the driver side required a lot more cutting to get it past the airtube coming up from the exhaust manifold. I have the CF FRC's and I was able to easily remove material with the carbide wheel on my dremel. Good luck.

Do a search for FRC's. You'll find everything you need. I installed a set of oem 'vette frc's on my '00 z28. I did a lot of cutting. It's all hidden so it really doesn't matter how much you cut. The driver's side was a huge PITA.
Read this webpage:

The install directions are for Z06 FRC's, but it'll guide you in the right direction. These are the instructions I used.

With the genius help of Rob Snell, mine fit without any cutting at all. These are the stock 98 Corvette FRC's custom painted by Rob. He sent 5 pages of detail instructions and pics on how to install them with out cutting.
You might be able to get a copy of the instructions from him
