Little update, did HID's today. It's hard to tell by the pictures, but they are way different. The car also got lowered, and while it was there Brett@XP chopped off the cats/side mufflers, and I put a CAI in last night. I'll get higher res pics of all that tomorrow, crappy weather today. Here is the HID comparison. Before they were those cool blue halogen bulbs, slightly whiter than regulars, after, 8000k HID's, same as the T/A:

Before

After

Please excuse the messy garage, cleaning it is the next 'mod'.

Trust, do you have a really, really hot girl friend? I just want to know so I can have another reason to be jealous of you. I mean, 24 and already have a Viper. Gah.

I got my kit from one of the local GM Car Club sponsors. Seems like a quality kit, but time will tell. The HID's themselves are identical to the set I got for the T/A which were $$$, the ballasts look to be the same, different branding though.

A cam isn't going to do anything as far how much power the HID's get.

Yea, the only thing I can see a cam affecting is the ballast and shacking the apart if you have a radical cam and poly motor mounts and such, but even then, I doubt it'll affect the ballast any. At least i hope not, cause thats exactly what my cars getting in the next couple weeks.

well i do and not only that i think i may need a stonger alternator maybe. i know that a cam itself is not going to dictate wether they flicker or not but if its shaking the whole car and my ballest are mounted on my front bumper suport so therefore it shakes them i was just wondering if you knew of a better HID kit that you have had luck with.

I think the projectors started with the third gen Vipers. Not 100% though.

I imagine the light output is very nice then and probably has a nice sharp cut off.

I have been too lazy to get a memory card for my camera. It was a really nice day so a few of us decided to go to the track. This was my first time to the track with IRS, 6speed, AND street tires, so it was a learning experience for sure. The car would either bog, or wheel hop like crazy so I had nothing great, 2.0 60' etc. It was pretty consistent, with a best of 12.45@116MPH. With the weight, if it hooks, it's easily in the 11's, but I don't think I'll ever see them.

Here are some pics from today that my friend got with my car in them:

96+ have projectors for sure, not sure if the previous ones did. Mine has them too, and the cutoff is really nice!

Beautiful car Trust. You are the envy of many now.

Does Procharger make a unit for that year Viper? From what little I know about Vipers of those years, it sounds like you can just slap a blower with a fuel system and a tune in it and be done with a 700+RWHP monster on your hands.

Hows the insurance on that thing?

Insurance is less than the T/A, $650/year, full coverage, and I'm 24. Procharger doesn't make a kit, but Paxton does, the inlet setup is just kinda crappy so I'm not sure. I'll probably go TT at the end of the summer.

Wow! The back shots are great!

I wish I could get into a Viper right now.... Sad thing is that I need something more of a daily driver

12 psi would be about 750RWHP, they are safe to about 800-850RWHP, then you're pushing it.
