Made a shift knob and adapter for my auto

Made a shift **** and adapter for my auto I have been wanting to get one of those shift **** adapters and manual shift **** for my car so i could dress up the interior some and get rid of having to push the button.
Well, i work with laithes, mills, etc. so decided to make my own and have it completely custom so noone else had one like mine. Had my brother take measurements of his adapter and got to work on the laithe.
I painted the knurls on the **** black and the smooth parts pewter to match the scheme of my car. Then i shortened the actual shift stick to give it a sleeker look. Not sure that i love this **** but it was my first attempt at making one. I'm going to get started on making a pistol grip shifter after the holidays.
Sorry for the rant. Here are some pics. And if you notice in the first one, i also painted my vent rings for an extra little touch.
So let me know what you guys think. It was pretty nice to do it myself and save about 90 dollars.

Nope. i still have to push the **** down to shift. It does the same thing as the stock ****, just without having to use a button, the whole **** travels down. I just think it looks better without a huge button stickin out

To tell you the truth, i didn't really think about selling them. I don't have a production line and i didn't use a CNC so it took me a whole day just to make this one(actually two pieces. you just can't see the adapter because the **** covers it). It would be nice to make some extra cash but i wouldn't want everyone wanting one and end up just having a bunch of people pissed off at me.

yeah, i just didn't have the tools at home, so i'm gonna get a dremel at work one day and shave it down more. And i love seeing our sig qoutes next to each other. That's great.

No guys. I'm not able to mass produce anything. This is something i'm just doing in my spare time at work to add some customization to my car. I honestly just posted this to see what people thought. I do apprreciate the interest though because i am proud of my work and it makes me feel good but i don't have the time or the means to make alot of these. Wish i could but i really just can't.

Did it on a Birmingham model NDL1440. Pretty good laithe, only a couple years old. And thanks man.
