Just a question...I just watched a video on youtube showing how the dipping process was done, and it's pretty awesome.. But, what I was wondering was...could you guys do a vid that shows your set up and maybe you shops set up as well? Not that it really matters, just would like to see what your set up is like
On a side note, those Youtube videos are somewhat deceptive because they are also protecting their investment. I'll just tell you not to believe everything you see in those vids. Now that we have gone through the training, and the company we did it with let us know about the Youtube videos' deceptive ways, we know what has been misrepresented. The process is much like they show, but details are intentionally made to be misleading so that if someone were to completely mimic it, the pattern on the piece will wash right off.
Also, this process is a base coat / clear coat process. The basecoat can range from many types of paint, but the clear is an automotive PPG clear that can be done in high-gloss, matte, etc. It is not just a dip, but a real automotive quality paintjob as well.

I am going to make several Xbox 360 and PS3 controllers soon and post them up once I am up and running.

Yeah, the youtube videos are just the general idea which is good enough for most people. I can already start seeing the possibilities of all the different things to get covered, from the engine bay to the interior, the possibilities are endless.

The Youtube videos are only about 20 percent of the work. They have also condensed a lot of time into 45 seconds. Even after doing this process in person, it is absolutely amazing. On the websites I do not like the wood pictures I have seen. However in person they look amazingly real. Besides the up front costs, and supplies needed: the amount of room you need to paint, store, and clear coat parts is also fairly large.
We are very excited to be doing this work.
Thanks, Roger

We are working like crazy right now trying to get out all of the orders that were bought this weekend, and trying to get the outbuilding ready for use.
This should be our last very hectic day, and we wil have time to get prices to you guys.
A list of all the pieces you guys may want done will help us to get the price list done a little quicker.
Thanks, Roger
