i might reconsider doing mine some what like that since i need to pull them back off to put in new VC gaskets

I LOVE the VHT flat black...really nice job..are you going to do something with the coil bracket? damn nice job tho...materials list? instructions? i see a sticky here...

Coil brackets are long gone.. Coils are relocated..

Material list:
Cutting tool(to cut the bracket mounts off)
Any kind of sander to smooth what is left of bracket mounts
JB weld to fill holes, or TIG weld, depends on what you want to use.
Sand, sand, sand.. lol I used 100 grit to rough sand and 150 to final sand the valve cover.
Paint color of choice.. used 600 grit to sand the paint.. Going to have the professionally cleared at the paint shop my car is at..

This was not an original idea.. I saw it done on a car in another thread and knew I had to do it to mine.. So bought a 2nd set of valve covers to try it on..

I bought a kit from thunder racing a few years ago.. Wires sucked, they didn't even last a year.. Someone else on here sells a kit for 150 I think..

Here's how my coils are mounted(look under cowling, 1st pic cowling cover is off:
