I used a large bucket of a 50/50 mix hot water and scented ammonia inside the car with everything closed up for a day in the warm hot sun.

I left a can of coffee in there for a week. It worked great.

i have the same issue, as i just bought my car during the end of january. i have trying everything i could possibly find online.. baking soda in the carpet.. constantly febreezing everything, wiping down all the interior panels multiple times, cleaning the glass.. there are definitely a few suggestions in here that i haven't seen before. if you say the coffee grounds worked for you, i'll try that. i'm wondering if it actually soaked up the smell or if it's just temporarily covering it. im almost tempted to take out all the carpet anyway just to get the stains out. does that just require taking the seats, trim, and the center console out? im guessing im looking at about a full day with that? ps- i got some really weird looks when i had over a pound of baking soda on my carpet.. drove some crack head looking people wild.

Fabreeze, or however you spell it. Pulls cigar smell out of my upholstery to the point that nobody can smell it at all. Spray it up, wait a day or two and that is it!

This stuff worked for me. Chemical Guys Smoke and Odor Eliminator.

Or find a detailer with an Ozone machine. Let it run in the car over night and that will take care of it.
