I had them but they gave me to many problems, so I had them removed. This pic is not a very good one, but they did look good I had so many people tell me they did. Some cars that have them you can see the bulbs and all that, but with mine you couldnt see anything but the light because of how low it is. Anyways....

I have neons on mine. I personally love the look, and I don't think it's "rice" at all... especially because i got white neons... blue, purple, red, green... those are for the import crowd...

I installed the side neons in the actual ground fx housing, so no tube could be seen... which turned out nicely... I cut slits in the underneath of the ground fx.. pics are on my website but here are a few...

ok, im not trying to talk you out of it because of my personal opinion, but i know a number of people who have had them. nothing but problems. one guy had them in his inpreza and was off roading(yea i know your not going to, but still) broke all four in like 15-20 minutes. another guy had them on his VW and has blown the fuse about 5 times in the last 1-2 months. on another VW, the guy has gone through 4-5 sets of lights.
ON A SIDE NOTE, ALL OF THESE PEOPLE ARE RETARDS!!!!!!!

EDIT: this thread is old, i hope he didnt put them on

Another vote for do what you wish.

Though, I'd be more about accent lighting (and I plan on doing it soon) than overall "glow." If you have a color scheme (calipers, decals, etc) then try to follow that. I'd save my self the money and go with LEDs, read up on them, and their wiring, and you'll have something to be proud of. I've got some LED lighting in my v6, blue, and it looks great. This coming weekend I'm going to be making a custom sub setup, and I'll surely include blue accent lights for the stereo equipment. Of course, it'll only be for show, but at $.25 per LED, who cares?
