Talking From Bird to Goat...

I have had a 98 TransAm for the last 4 years but I'm glad I got the Goat. I bought it from a dealer so I'm still figuring out what all mods have been done to it, from the papers I found in it, it seems that it was previously located in Indiana so if anyone knows the car feel free to fill me in. Here is what I know it has; BBK 80mm TB, cam (don't know which one or what size), 18" TSW wheels, long tubes, high flow cats, lowered, etc. Enjoy...

Nice car! Gotta love red... Having owned plenty of Birds and currently owning a Z28 and a GTO I can honestly say you can't go wrong with any of them.

I LOVE taking the GTO on road trips but I also love firing the beast up (Z28) and taking her out on a Friday night to raise hell.

Apples to oranges.

Trans-Am on the other hand is kind of the best of both as it is more refined (interior, seats, styling) than the Camaro but not as comfy as the GTO nor the same ride as its IRS.

Anyways, I'm sure you'll enjoy, looks like a great car!

Thanks guys I wish I could have afforded to keep the TA and buy the GTO but I just couldn't swing it right now. I do miss the TA but right now I'm loving the GTO.

That's a great looking Grand Prix, didn't know they put Ls motors in them. kidding.

That TA you had looks nice, too bad you had to get rid of it. Can't imagine a gto is any more efficient or wallet friendly in comparison to a TA

Grand Prix...good one! The TA had 146,000 miles and was on the brink of needing the transmission rebuilt but honestly I was just bored with it. I still miss it but I'm also enjoying the GTO right now. I wish I would have know a cam would make this much difference in a LS1 motor I would have def put one in the TA! I will tell anyone thinking of getting a Pontiac of any kind right now that most of the banks don't want to touch them because of GM doing away with the brand. I have never had so a hard time getting a car loan. (doesn't help that the Ex-wife let her house go back that she was supposed to put in her name only!!!!)

that kinda looks like a firehawk from the hood in ur sig. i dont like the gto bc its just plain lookin and no t tops and not an f body. the ls2 is awesome in the 05-06 but they are heavy. i would have kept the f body. whos cares about comfy seats when ur in a muscle car. and if it was a firehawk then ur ls1 gto is at least a half second slower. idkk man enjoy tho

maybe if you like the styling...but they aren't faster than LS1 fbody's...they have 100 more hp but weigh over 4,000 lbs!

looks like a cavalier on steriods to me, but still must respect

lol, honestly I like the cars, I just don't like that they're "GTO's"...wish they woulda called them sumthin else....

LOL, yea, that hood, and door tag are easily worth a half second.

Hood was actually a superhawk hood and I agree the styling is def plain compared to the TA but since I still have two kids to tote around (so a vette was out) and I wanted to stay in the LS family I decided to go with the GTO.
