Default HID Installation question

What connector connects to where.

Does the OEM connector, connect to the ballast? I've tried to connect that one but doesn't work.

the connector of the car harness (low or high beam) should be connected to the ballast.

Tried that, but didn't work. My fuses aren't blown. I've tried numerous ways.

is that a DDM kit? If so, I had to buy connectors and splice into the wires to get them to work. That was on the fogs, never got around to doing it in the headlighrs.

If its a DDM Tuning kit, plug your cars harness connector to the ballast but backwards. They have reverse polarity.

If it is the Speedinc kit, the negative and positive may be reversed on the extension wires to the ballast (blue and black wires). I had the reverse the female end by modifying (trimming out the piece that goes into the groove on the male clip), then plugging it in backwards. I just wrapped it in electrical tape so that it would not come apart, since it will not clip in securely.

I had this exact problem 2 days ago and was getting really pissed til I figured it out.

The Camaro has the positive and negative swapped in the bulb connector. Either A) plug it in backwards or B) swap the pins in the stock connector. Option A is the easier route since its less work, but Option B is the better route since the connector will be easier to connect and properly lock in place.

Having the positive and negative backwards doesn't matter for Halogen bulbs because they don't care about polarity, but it does matter for HID. HID will only work with the polarity in the correct orientation.

Bingo. It had to be plugged upside down. Thanks everybody for the replies. Mod feel free to delete if necessary.
