It is lighter but not by much (few pounds). You can definitely paint it though...

Cool..good to know. How much lighter is the CF SS hood over a stock Z28 hood? I assume both the hood and spoiler would fit fine w/out needing adjustment?
There's a good difference, I honestly don't know off hand but I remember it was sizable as you're going from metal to CF...

Both fit without adjusting the part itself (since it is finished CF) HOWEVER, just like all FG pieces you will need to adjust bump stops, hinge mounts, etc... Same process any body shop goes through to make hoods fit perfect (keeping the gaps even all around) every day.

Would there be anyway you could find out the weight of the hood? I'm really considering this hood and a sunoco so it's pretty much gonna come down to weight for the deciding factor.
Go with a Sunoco, lol! I know this breaks every "business" code but go with a Sunoco, lol!

I love my f@cking hood, looks way better than the SS...

Very true...The way the quarters have that kind of "built in lip", it makes it really tough to improve upon Chevy's original SS spoiler.

Look at the guys pic 2 posts up...he's got a great side shot. The quarters make it tough....

I'm actually a fan of the 3rd brake light, but the fact that Mark's doesn't have one sure makes it clean and WAY more custom. Like more of a race/all business version.

So I recieved a couple pics of it and they all came out blurry. Never trust your mother to take pictures.... She took them inside the house and all from the front which is retarded... I requested some new pics so hopefully I get better ones.. This sucks... Will post pics ASAP
