Default VFN SS Hood?

i tried searching on here and on google and all i found was the site and one member on here who hasn't posted since 07 but the pic i saw the hood was not painted. Anyway if anyone has this i'm lookin for VFN 98-02 3 inch SS hood


i do have an SS so i'm leaning towards the second hood if i get one

yep thats what i was looking for! you still have it black? do you plan on painting it? how's the clearance under the hood and is there a big opening in the back of the hood to let heat out?

yeah its still primer black, hopefully over the winter it will finally get painted. here is the underside and back of the hood.

looks wierd with regular wheels and tires... i think that hood needs a drag wheel and tire set up to look right IMO..

lol yeah sorry about that i like it with normal tires and rims, i'm not to big a fan of the slicks in back and skinnies in front

Hey buddy I finally got a set of 35th anniversary wheels. So my question is on the Vfn 3 ss hood can you make the back side of the ss scoop closed so you don't see in the hood

You probably don't want to close the back part of it because these hoods are designed to get as much air into engine bay. At first it's hard but you get use to it very quickly.
