Okay to use car wash this one time?
It's a bit cold outside to wash the car by hand, so I'm thinking about going to the car wash with the foam brush, spray gun, etc. I know it's a no-no, though, but I wonder if rinsing out the brush would mitigate any possible scratches or anything. Let me know if it would be okay this one time. Thanks.

go to a pull in car wash, bring your own microfiber sponge or whatever sponge you use and just use the high pressure washer and clean it yourself. Make sure you spray from like 10 ft away if you can so that it's not as powerful. Some people argue that the high pressure washer can actually induce scratches into the paint, me being one of them, so be careful how close you are. I used one on my camaro vert and it pulled the convertible top right off the bracket. BUT NEVER GO TO A CAR WASH!! If you care about your car you wouldn't take it to one =]. My favorite part is when the mexicans drying your car drops their drying rags on the floor, pick it up, and continues to dry your car w/ it.... or even better wipes their sweaty arms w/ it and then dries your car w/ it hahah.

i always wash my daily at the carwash in winter every friday. granted i dont drive my formula from first snow til first rain. however, with the civic i always rinse, soap, rinse, spot free rinse. then do a quick microfiber dry. trans am jam gave good advice never get to close with the high pressure wash
