Got the kit today, unpackaged and took pics while installing. I'll make a post about it when I find some time. I also had the same issue with the 10-24 2.5 screw being way too long and causing many issues with alignment, so I'll be making a trip to the local hardware stores tomorrow to try and find a set of stainless steel 10-24 2" machine screws. I live 10 miles from town so this was a pretty big set back. Brian, I don't see how other people are not having this issue?

This secured my low beam perfectly and actually caused the aim to be almost completely perfect (just a rough estimate as I still need to aim them). The locking washer gets a good 3 or 4 turns once the nut gets tight and it just barely comes through the back (if at all).

So if you are finding the 2 1/2 screws are too long and rubbing the back of the support beam/not holding the headlight firmly, go pick up these.

I believe this cost me $2.50 for 5 of them. So I have 3 left over. The 2 1/2" ones Brian sent are perfect for the high beams.

BLS screw is the top screw, the Stainless Hillman is the bottom one.

Apologies for the setback however for whatever reason, some are having this issue while others aren't. Don't take this to say that I don't believe you since others have mentioned a similar problem however this seems like an easy enough fix to include the 2" 10-24 stainless screws in the kit along with the longer 2.5s. This doesn't help you at this moment and again, apologies for the set back but for those that run into this issue, please email/pm me and I will send you the other bolts.

If you can wait for shipping, I will send you these bolts ASAP to keep you moving.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm in a bit of a rush since it is my daily driver. Last night I got everything set up and aligned, just have to reposition the weatherstripping on one housing and replace those 2 screws.

Guess I'm glad I waited for the second GP, hopefully I won't have these alignment issues

Got them buttoned up. Had to do some grinding with a Dremel to the aluminum brackets to increase clearance when adjusting as well as buy 2" screws to ensure the headlights were mounted securely and wouldn't wobble (Because the alternative was tight, but headlights wouldn't sit properly when closed). The light alignment could still use a little bit of work (needs more L/R spread - maybe use the 2.5" screw but with a longer spring??) but it's safe to drive with right now and looks/performs GREAT. Drove right past a cop at a stop sign facing me and I didn't get pulled over so I know that I aimed them pretty good (that, and I know my white DRLs are legal ). More pics and a thread for it tomorrow.

On a side note, yes, my car has mutton chops. I'll be posting about that sooner or later when I detail the car & take pics. Been too lazy to detail the car and then do a photoshoot just for them.

Wow that looks fantastic and glad you are happy with the performance sans the issues you ran into. I'm looking forward to the thread

White DRL's are legal, just look at the Audi's, Porsche's and Mercede's these days. They all have white DRL led's.

Brian I'm probably the last guy from the first GP to not install but tommorrow will be a big day for me. Finally done with classes so with no school tommorrow and no work it should be a perfect day to get these in. I'll be sure to post up when I'm done. Thanks again.

Yup. Even GM trucks have non-amber tungsten bulbs for DRLs. I keep telling people and yet some still don't believe me and are unsure. WTF is there to be unsure about? It says it in your local state laws, and the lights come on new cars from OEMs!

This is a very old thread. We have been selling these kits for nearly 3 years and just recently ran a GP. Please feel free to PM me if you are interested in a kit. These are not sold on ebay.
