are you keeping you high-beams? or what are you installing instead?

technically with the bi-xenon he can keep the high beams as an additional light source and yes they are staying. To seal the back of the housings...we have to figure that out, maybe 3m di-noc.

hahahahaha to the di-noc!!! yes I'm keeping the high beams, it's hard to tell when a bixenon car behind you is flashing you... so the high beams will stay.

had a chance to get some more work done on it last night. I've got the shrouds fit for the most part... don't think they're gonna get much better =\.

All that is left is to seal the back, give the inside of the lights a final coat of paint, mount the shrouds, and hack apart my car so they will fit.

The blue tape is there to provide a backing on the other side when I seal it all up.

the awesome quality pics:

made a little more progress today. Got the passenger light fitted (for the most part) and will hopefully be fitting the driver's side tomorrow. POSSIBLY finishing tomorrow, next weekend is more realistic though =\

anyways, here is a pic of the light installed and the passenger side cutoff. (the car is sitting at a slight angle, and there is a tiny more aiming left to do. pic was taken at 5:30PM, still daylight) the light is bright enough to make everything around it look dark haha

Looking good. Can you take a pic of what you had to modify on the car behind the headlight to make it fit?

Are you going to make the lenses of the headlights clearer by polishing them ?

neither. I'm using the lenses from my current headlights... they're practically brand new. Then I'll clean the other ones up and sell them

it's getting very close! all I have to do is seal them in the back and put it all together. The only thing I'm worried about is the angle they're aimed at... I got it pretty close last night and unfortunately they way I "designed" them I didn't give much room for error so we shall see!

ok looks time tomorrow they will be installed for good. Got them sealed up from the back, shrouds fitted, just have to do one more coat of paint and swap the lenses from my current headlights. Here are a few more pics(again, sorry for the quality, apple sucks *****)

they are aimed a little further apart then I would like... but whatever it has a really nice spread.

I tried aiming the fogs a little lower... turns out they're way too low now. Should all be good to go tomorrow!!! I'll get some pro pics eventually

If I had the time/know-how I'd love to do something like that... Even though the projectors I have now are good, those are certainly better.

Nice job, looks good ! I was wondering the same ? as the other poster, any problems with the 55w 3000k fogs (melting anything). I want to do a set of 55w fogs for my truck, but I'm concerned it will melt the housing or surrounding items.

no problems with the 55W fogs at all. I need to aim the driver's headlight a little lower, and wire it up so the lowbeams don't turn off when the highbeams are on. Other than that... it's all done! here are some daytime pics:

(gotta give the lenses a final polish, hence the compound left on the weatherstripping)

Warming up:

Wow they look great. Now why can't the aftermarket manufacturers even come close to something as simplistic as taking stock headlights and adding projectors... rather than leds, halos, and all kinds of other crap they can shove under the lenses.

Agreed x1000. I would love to just plug them in and go.... but I don't like the look or light output of the aftermarket headlights. I'm happy with how these came out. They don't really stand out too much, kinda have to double-take to notice they're different than a regular set of whistler'd headlights

It's really not all that hard, it's just tedious work, now that nova and I and a few other peeps have all taken part in a retrofit, it really wouldn't be all that hard to do another one.
