Default Recaro Speeds in my T/A

Today was a nice day so I went home and installed my Recaro Speeds. I sold my two front power seats a couple of days ago, but my rear seats are still up for sale (PM me if interested). I just love these new racing seats. They are such a huge improvement over stock t/a seats..it's just incredible. There's no more play in the seats once it's in gear and it holds me in nicely. It's a wee bit snug around the thigh bolsters but after extended use i'm sure the frame will get accustomed to my waist line or else I'll just do the good old towel + mallet technique. The car definitely feels slower, being that I'm not jerking back and forth when shifting or braking lol but that'll be fixed in a year or two . I also had enough time to clean the whip inside and out. here's some pics.

THE GOOD:

- Smoother Ride Quality, no more bounciness and no more jerking effect.
- Grips your body nicely for lateral motion and in the turns.
- Lighter.....eh....cool I guess.
- superb lumbar support
- Avus Cloth = very durable material
- weather conditions do not affect seat temperature

THE BAD:

- tight around thighs and I have a 34" pant size..hopefully it will conform to my body through use.
- the adjusting ***** are not in an ergonomic position. kind of awkward to get to.
- the highest setting in height adjustment is about 1 3/4" lower than stock height
- fat passengers will wear out thigh bolsters very quickly.

They look real good...just be careful when getting in and rubbing the bolsters, that will wear a hole in them QUICK (I know from a set I had in a Jeep I had!)

A question though, is your steering wheel that off center or where your front wheels turned when you took the pictures of the seats (the tires are straight in the pics of the outside...thats why I asked.)

thanksss! yeah I'm trying to slip my leg in and out of that thing as careful as I could be without looking like a gradma. and I took those pics of the seats once I installed them and cleaned the interior....and then I took pics of the exterior once I washed it in a new spot in the gravel. BTW you and Crimson are like appearance and detailing gods and I'm honored to have you guys post in my thread

Looks great, I need to something like that. I took a 'spirited' turn around a corner today and would have flown out of my seat if it wasn't for the seat belt lol.

Thanks guys for the comments.. all is appreciated. I'm gonna do full suspension this summer....about $3-4ks worth...so wheels are going to be next year. Wheels are such a huge aspect of a car and I still haven't made up my mind on a set yet. Most likely ruff 278s powder coated black....but who knows. the reason why I jumped to get these seats is because a guy offered them for a semi-good deal along w/ it's recaro vehicle specific sliders/brackets and I just couldn't resist. It's just a great improvement for the overall ride satisfaction.

Any installation pictures? I'm interested in how low I could custom mount some of these.

holy ****..you would have to take one of your ttops off to fit a helmet in there....but on a serious note, these seats sit lower than stock t/a seats, I also have them on the lowest setting possible.
