200 mph speedo
i was wondering if any body has swapped out their 150 mph speedometer for a 200mph one. i want a stock looking one. my problem is i keep hitting my pin on my trans am and want to see how fast i am really going. i know i will never make it to 200mph but it looks cool too

Would i consider getting the 6LE 200mph speedo? yes, it looks great. Would i put it to use on the freeway? no.
driving 2-3 times the speed limit on a road with cars driving around 70 -80 isn't exactly a safe/smart decision...
dont get me wrong, the adrenaline rush you get driving at high speeds is amazing, its like a high. when you get that tunnel vision and see nothing but the road in front of you, it feels great! the fastest i've done was 125+ in my v6 camaro a few years back (speedo maxes there), me and another car just having fun. sure its not 150+, but it certainly wasnt slow. that was before i had the Trans am, (which i probably havent taken over 95). I've never had any problems with driving fast, no accidents or things like that, but it didn't take me getting into a bad accident, or getting a Ridiculously huge ticket, to realize that driving like that is just unnecessary, and not worth the trouble it can cause.
i grew out of stuff like that way before getting the T/A. sure its fun and all, but all that does is put innocent lives in danger. those short minutes driving like that can ruin lives forever. keep the high speeds off regular roads

We sell 200mph gauge overlays (we've sold quite a few, actually), but you'd need to calibrate the speedo itself. We offer the calibration service as well.

a blowout at those speeds and its game over...its happened many many times. after that your pretty little Trans Am is a pile of scrap metal and you're probably dead.

Yeah 200 mph speedo looks cool but i wouldn't be doing it on the highway! I've done my share of speeding, i've been a passenger in a porsche in germany doing 170 mph but the autobahn is made for speeds like that! My buddy on the other hand was enjoying his 95 Camaro and crashed into a tree at 130 mph and he's no longer with us! That made me learn a thing or two about high speeds like that!

in the options section, for "Speedometer Read Out", you just select 0-200MPH

^ Like what Crimson said, 6LE has em and whatever your mind can think of, they can do it basically and if your wanting a stock looking on, I don't see why/how 6LE couldn't make on out like that for you. And as far as speeds, let me just say, as a firefighter, those kind of wrecks are not fun to go to. Especially when you have body parts mixed in with car parts. If ANYTHING, it should be car parts and car parts ONLY!!! And honestly, the worst part is is when,if the family arrives, thats the kicker right there. Having to see the family go through that knowing the person was speeding/having "fun". Its all fun and games still someone gets hurt/killed.
