Thanks man, I appreciative it. Yeah that's exactly how I feel, lol. It sucks, but I get to learn and clean the car up a bit.

Polished my 4" I-Pipe.. Looks way better in person, pictures don't do it justice.

After removing any rust, I sanded with 220, 400, 1000.. and a worn down 1000.. If I had 2000 I imagine it'd be that much better.

Yuck^

Here's a tip... WEAR GLOVES.

Up next... Driveshaft.

Anybody have any other suggestions on stuff to do while the motor/tranny are out?

oh yeah dude. I just came home from rutgers...and I have to deal w/ this shitty weather for spring break... once tuesday rolls in.. I'm cleaning the whip, putting on my matte black stripes, polishing the driveshaft, taking my rear seats out and storing them until someone buys it off me, making some suede parts, doing an oil change, painting the ttop bar and fixing my exhaust clamps that I broke off by driving my car over a parking lot concrete curb =]

Just throwing an LS6 block and putting my heads, cam, and bolt-ons back in. I want my car just how it was. Minus... the blown up part.

No idea man.. #1 piston just detonated I guess. Idk why.. No N20, no F/I, nothin'. My intake gaskets were kinda old and beat up though.. maybe there was an air leak. My head gaskets were solid.

Think so? Guess I should get it tuned after its running again.. any idea where to go for that? Should I do a dyno tune or what?

Hey, how much do you guys think my current block is worth? It just needs a piston replaced.. My friend wants to know how much I want, he's looking to completely rebuild a block.

Driveshaft is done! I used a different polishing process on it than I did on the I-Pipe, so it's a bit shinier.

i would deff get a tune you dont know what kind of tune it has on it now i would atleast have it looked at you wouldnt want to throw the new short block in there and have the same thing happen. theres a place in setauek about 45-1hr away from you called kaltech tunning, he tuned mine its not cheap for tune with a cam mine was 500. i would give him a call and see how much he would charge to take a look at it and fix anything that needed fixing, other wise theres a guy on this board called frost who does awsome mail order tunes. usually thats for bolt on cars only with a cam you really want a dyno tune to fix any drivabilty issues and what not but since your cam is so small that might be your best bet
