yeah wire mods are a cool way to clean up the engine bay.. just do everything all at once.. TCS relocation, wire mod (both sides), fuse relocation (if you plan to do so), etc.

Thanks Matt. I didn't know SK Speed did machining. Good to know.

I'll take the wire mod into consideration guys.

Replace what? the timing chain and oil pump? Why don't you have anywhere to do that?

I have to do the pump mainly, it went out on me about a week ago but I might as well get the timing chain in there while its out.

I dont have a driveway, like yourself otherwise I would.

to answer your question, I live in Brooklyn. there are no driveways just streets. I had my car parked in the street for a year before I found a gated parking. it got beat up while it was out there. now I dont have to worry about getting tickets, road salt, basterd kids jumping all over (found a foot imprint on my roof). I can do some work on my car while its there, but I dont want to risk potentially damaging there property with oil...etc.

I figured that was why. I don't know what I'd do with myself lol. Got any buddies nearby that have driveways? Do it in a parking lot? lolol

edit: oh yeah.. if the pump's shot.. that could be a problem.

Update!

Everything I need out/off the motor is removed.. Nothing left to do but wait for my new block

Cleaned up the old block (no pics of that) took off the double roller assembly, oil pump, valves, took out the cam, etc etc.

Here ya go fellas.

Yes, those are huge chunks of metal sitting in the motor. See that hole in the oil pan? The pan actually warped downwards (downwards as in, the direction of where the piece of metal flew out) and bent. It also hairline cracked along the ridge.

Luckily everything is 100% Cam, oil pump, all it's bearings etc.

Sucks when your car isn't as clean as you thought it was.
