Default Black SS with Swissvax Concorso

Last year I did an extensive correction on this car and it came out pretty nice. Since then it got a little bit of wear and needed a touchup. We also finished this one up with my new favorite LSP, Swissvax Concorso. Applied by bare hand, this stuff looks amazing on black! Didn't have time for before photos, but here are the afters.

There are some additional photos of the car from a photoshoot with some pretty girls, but I'll let the owner post them if he likes.

Process:
-Foamed and washed with Dawn
-Clayed with Z18 and Megs Last Touch as Lube
-Megs APC 4:1 on wheels with Swissvax Wheel Brush
-EZ Detail brush
-Menzerna SIP on LC orange on PC
-ISO wipedown
-Swissvax Cleaner Fluid
-Swissvax Concorso (bare hand)
-Zaino Z16 on tires
-Mothers Chrome polish on chrome

Thanks for looking

Yep. I posted it there a little while back and thought I'd share it here too.

Thanks

That looks great, but I am surprised that you never followed up with Menzerna Final Polish to bring back that shine. I can guarantee you that if you followed up with Final Polish you would be impressed.

I am even thinking about going the 3M ultrafina route after cutting paint. I use Menzerna Intensive on an orange pad just like you, so I know what you're working with.

looks great man!

on a side note, what have you found to be the best LSP for NBM?

I've been using Menz IP on orange, followed by Menz FPII on white, then Menz FMJ by hand.

Heard mixed opinions on synthetic sealants vs. carnauba waxes, just wanted to as what you found to be best on your Camaro

car looks great man good job.
i normally use a sealant like blackfire or zaino and bedone with it but i just started useing a wax over the sealant like 2 coats of blackfire then a coat of wax.
i just picked up some autoglym hd wax at walmart of all places for 35bucks(most online prices are 60 and up for it) and its really slick even slicker than zaino or other sealants.
i did the front fender on my black benz just to try it out and its really deep and glossy even tho it had 2 coats of blackfire lsp.

I noticed you bare hand apply the swissvax, I also bare hand apply my Zymol Concours. Do you find it's easier to apply when warmed up a bit and if so how do you get it warm and stay that way? Awsome job btw.

I didn't follow SIP with anything because the customer wasn't paying that much. And as good as FP is, 106fa works better on most GM clears. And I was using SIP, not IP... Try SIP, you'll like it better than IP.

There is no 'best' IMO. All depends on the look you prefer: sealants or 'naubas. I think Megs 16 is the best looking along with SV Concorso for waxes. I think Zaino CS is the best looking sealant.

As I mentioned above, if you're working on a GM clear (like the fbody), switch to SIP and 106fa.
