If anyone wants to save money... The slim and regular (raptor) ballasts are the same exact thing. Neither performance wise are any difference. The regular ballasts are actually supposed to take to wear and tear better.

Our cars have MORE than enough room to mount 4 regular ballasts (fogs and lows) that we can do that.
I wish I would have went with the regular ballasts just to save the extra 40$ or so.

For the camaro guys.. I would recommend 55 watts for the lows and fogs. Trans Am guys, go with 55 watts in the lows and 35 watts in the fogs. There is a member on here that makes a cost friendly low beam conversion housing, he also offers hids if you want to buy those as well.

Fourth one from the bottom on bulb type is for the fogs (camaro and trans am).

DDM tuning also sends you adapters for when the Trans Am guys do their lows so you don't have to cut your hardness (it makes it completely plug and play). Some of the cheaper kits don't do this and it allows you to go back to stock at any time within 5 minutes.

Nothing..

I promise you that you can't know any less than I do. You can literally have the fogs and lows installed in around 10 minutes.
It is EXTREMELY simple. It sounds very complicated through the write ups that people give and when explaining. Once you get everything in front of you, there is only one way everything can go. Take the plugs that look the same and plug them up. You can't mess it up.
Literally, if you can change a bulb, you can do this.

^^you will have to remove the fog lights and loosen the 4 screws on the bottom of each one to get the bulb to fit. Other than that its just like any other hid install. I did mine a couple of weeks ago and they look WAY better than stock...

You should also get a relay harness... they are cheap on ebay

Just installed 6000k lows from DDMtuning...I have the projectors so i ordered h1 bulbs. Very very easy to install except I had to trim the plastic around the bulbs to make them fit in the projector housings. I love them.... btw the 880 type are on back order.

Correct. You just have to find somewhere to mount the ballasats where they aren't noticeable, very easy and plenty of spots to mount them. If you can change a bulb, you can install this HID kit.

I honestly think ls1tech.com has them on back order!

I would wait for DDMtunings to be available again.

I have a quick question or two..

Hope you don't mind OP??

I'm looking to go HID as well, I have a 2002 SS. So the ideal way to go is, get the projector lenses, then get the HID lights from DDM?? IS that way you guys are going?? I'm a complete newbie to this, and been trying to read all threads on HID, but still getting confused..

Is there one Projector lens better then the other?? Or are they all pretty much the same..

Thanks,

Kyle

You can put HIDs in the stock camaro housings but of course a projector lens will be the best way to go.
You can get on ebay.com and get some pretty nice quality lights with projector lenses for cheap. That would be the best way to go.

I bought those from my old camaro.. They have a VERY nice cutoff on them. I got TONS of compliments on that car from everyone. I didn't find one person that did not like them. They look SICK!

A+ Choice.

Order them WITHOUT the HID kit... Get your hid kit from DDMtuning.

Nothing for them... Just go to DDMtuning and order the kit they make for the 880 kit.

Someone said they were on back order. I would wait until they get another shipment in.
