Default Superhawk grill HELP!!!

i got a superhawk hood and i need to get grills for it. does anyone know if the oem firehawk hood grills fit? or would i be better off finding some honeycomb aluminum and cutting it to fit? if so what is the best way to secure it?

I think the Firehawk and SLP HO grilles are the same, those should fit.

Better question, where and how did you get your hands on a superhawk hood?

I assumed it was an original u.s. exotics superhawk hood, which is the only one I would get, probably never find one. I have seen that one on ebay for a few years now. Only under 100 or so originals were made. I stayed away from that ebay sellers hoods because I have heard of a lot of bad fitment issues which is shown in his feedback. Still a beautiful hood

there are a few people on here with originals that may be able to better help you with the grill search. I saw it on the appearance section a few days ago. I think they were asking what air box to use with the hood. Should be easy to find.

I agree, stay away from that seller. Nothing but bad news about them.
Note the openings aren't cut, additional cost if ya want them to do it.
Additional boxing cost.
Additional shipping cost for residential.
Additional charge for getting a good fitting hood.
Is there a reason they list them as 'Private' auctions? Yes sir, there probably is.

It's just a bit risky dealing with that seller who is simply copying all the other hoods out there on the market.

And no, I don't believe the grills are the same as the Firehawk hood. I could be wrong, ..., but I think they're larger than the OE Firehawk grills.
And you can't find the OE Firehawk grills anywhere either.
Most of the grills, like the Firehawk application, are simply held on with 3M double-sided emblem tape.

Good Luck, ..., roll the dice & try it, ...

Ok i have a real superhawk hood from u.s. exotics number 36 or something like that. to answer your question the firehawk grills will not fit the superhawk. the superhawk openings are taller hence why its called a superhawk. and the slp h.o hoods openings are more of a square shape i believe. so your gonna have to use some aluminium honycomb or get very creative maybe go to a junk yard and find some pontiac grills to cut up. but in all reality i would try and just your money back for that hood b4 its shipped, iv heard nothing but bad things about those hoods, and got countless PM's from people who bought it and cant get it to fit right and wanna know how i got it to fit right, well i bought the real deal thats how. It really makes me angry that company stole rodgers design on the superhawk hood and turned it into garbage.

TransWS6am has a good idea. Junk yard should be easy to find pontiac honeycomb grills to cut up. They are black plastic and I believe you can find them on the last few years of the Pontiac Montana minivan. That would probably look very nice. I think possibly some early to mid '90s Bonnevilles had them to.

TransWS6am, I notice you are from Ohio. If you are ever visiting and for some reason want to sell that hood, please let me know

mark jr.

Another reason I never would purchase the version of the Superhawk hood that is on ebay now.
