Default What kind of Wax do you use?

What type of wax do you use; paste or liquid?

Also what kind of wax?

I have been using meguiars cleaner wax, and i am thinking of trying out meguiars gold class.

Does anyone know if i apply the gold class over the cleaner wax will it look worse or better??

I use the Meguiars professional polishes, then follow up with gold class wax. It gets some pretty extreme shine. Then again I used to detail cars for a living so........ But it should help using the cleaner wax, then follow up with gold class or nxt 2.0

Both start with a clay bar, cleaner wax (paste), gold class (paste),gold class (liquid), nxt 2.0 (liquid), then stand back and admire your clean ride.

Is there anything in particular you guys would suggest for a black car?

Sometime in the next few weeks I plan on giving it the Meguirs M105/205 treatment, so I want to be able to get all the materials together for that.

4 coats of wax? that seems intense haha

i like meguiars nxt 2.0, but for a unbelievable shine, i use turtle wax ice polish. it looks awesome for about a week, then the shine starts to fade. i only use it when im going to a carshow. otherwise i use the meguiars or new finish.

if your applying another layer of wax on top of a previous layer, does the top layer actually do anything like give it more shine or is it just another layer to protect?
