Default Inside of windsheild keeps fogging up!

Every time my car sits in the sun, the inside of the windshield gets some kind of foggy layer that I have to wipe off with a towel/windex. I thought it was the armor-all on my dash, but I took all that off and it's still getting foggy.

My only other idea is that the glue I uses to cover my dash with vinyl is doing this...

Anyone else with a covered dashboard experiencing this?

Have you left your windows open in a bit of rain or anything like that? You might also check under your carpet on the pass side. Water collects there when the heater core is getting bad. Could be a reason why it fogs in the sun.

it's not water, the "fog" only goes away when i wipe it down (hard) with some windex. it's some kind of film

Maybe we can figure this out... Do you have tinted windows or a wrapped dash?

Do you have leather seats? What kind of cleaner products do you use on the inside?

Every piece of the interior including clips , panels , carpet , etc is all mint and new . Hell I even hand washed the floor board when the interior was completely out

im thinking its also the out gas from the glue. almost any glue will out gas wile it cureing but after a will i would think it would stop.
try this take the pad out(i know its a little work but thats how you will know)and leave it in the sun maybe the heat will cure it and if you dont fog up thats the problem.

It sounds like the heater core might have went bad. Check that and also Rain-X makes a defogger wipes that might help you out. I'm not too sure how well they work but It's worth a try and they only cost a few dollars at a local auto parts store.

I would try applying some Rain-X to the inside of your windshield and see if that helps. Could be the heater core evaporating coolant on your windshield.

Hmmm I'll definitely try the rain x. How do I check the heater core?

Fog can be fine condensation from water somewhere in the car. When it gets hot the water may evaporate causing fog. I'm not sure about the film though, that's weird. You might yank up your pass side carpet and see if its wet could be a sign your heater core is bad.

Same problem in my Oldsmobile, it's a PITA. The worst part is trying to clean a windshield at a really awkward angle without getting streaks/swirls...

Someone figure this out!
