stock wheel is way too big IMO.. thing is like a damn bus wheel.
And yes i went out on a limb with that red steering wheel.

But, im not following your question. If your looking for the model of my Sparco wheel its called a 'Mugello', and they have it in black.

someone told me the steering wheel has to be straight the whole time is this true? I'm not actually changing the steering wheel just wanting to tighten the 3 bolts shown in the third picture down.

I just got a Momo Wheel for Christmas and need to install it now. I have a question, If I cut the steering wheel control wires, will everything still work fine in the factory head unit?

That's a nice add for a performance car

It looks 100% better and saves weight

Let me know if that D-wheel has an odd feel to it,

Also If someone knows which resistor to add to the circuit

Can you post the information ?

Thanks

Yes, the head unit will work fine. Just make sure you tape up the ends of the wires, or cover them up so they can't touch any metal.

I haven't yet taken my wheel off, but could someone tell me which wires are for the horn? I'm guessing it may be intuitive, but I figure I'll throw the question out before I tackle the job.

The small red and yellow wires in the white plastic tube are the horn wires. I'm in the middle of swapping steering wheels myself.

Thanks. That's pretty much what I needed. Next is finding my dang soldering iron to put a resistor into the airbag wires.

I'll be doing this shortly myself. Just got my hub and MOMO wheel. Good to know ahead of time which wires keep the horn cuz i do want it to remain.

qwikz28, what is the purpose of the resistor? I don't remember reading that part. Thanks!

The resistor is to "fool" the airbag system into thinking there's still an airbag hooked up. It'll keep the airbag light from coming on, and will allow the passenger airbag to go off if you're in a crash.

I've heard various resistors being used. The most common number I've seen is 2 3.3K ohm resistors either soldered directly to the airbag wires or inserted into the connector that was unhooked under the steering column (the one you disconnect to take the clock spring out).
