Default need some help with dash gauges

I've been toying with the idea of yanking the a/c out of my car just for the fact that i don't ever use it any way and i mean all of the a/c not just the compressor. so since i need the dash to come out i was thinking the cleanest gauges ive seen mounted are in the air vents. in the middle they look good right in place and easy to read. Now i'm looking for some more info on how exactly to go about completing this gauge project? i have to figure out what gauges i want as well but i believe i've seen adapters that fit in there to make 2 1/16" gauges fit nicely any help maybe some pics for me? what did you do with the heater vents or did you just leave them functional? what gauges did you go with. the car is a 6 speed so i really doin't need a trans temp. getting a 12 bolt going in a few weeks here just had one ordered yesterday. next week i'm ordering up my drive shaft so i'm going to have some spare time to tinker thanks in advance

I'd leave the ducting. Too much of a pain to remove entire dash Just to remove 2-3 lbs of plastic. I just drilled a hole In the ducting big enough to run wires thru.
Here is link to thread with pics of my setup.

reason i wanted to go 2 1/16" is don't they make adapters that kind of angle them toward the drivers area a little bit? thats what i'm looking for

I've done it. Don't expect to ever use the top vent setting.

I'd suggest:

-Oil Temp
-Wideband
-Aeroforce Interceptor

I drilled the plastic behind the gauge to pass the wires. Powered them from the radio, and light them up from the parking lights. I thenstuffed behind the gauges with foam.

I'm using 2 5/8".

not sure about the angled adapters, but i dont think you need them as there is ZERO issue on visibility

I'm not sure what one to recommend, but I know not to use the AEM. I couldn't get it to work with my HP Tuners.

The aeroforce gauge will display any information that the computer reads (O2 mV, MAP, IAT, coolant temp, knock retard, timing etc etc). Also gives you MPG, and 1/4 mile times.

seems like the best overall gauge for the money may have to look into that. i might end up doing these gauges one at a time. going to get expensive

You're not kidding.

I've had good luck on Ebay with the Autometer ones. I managed to get all of them (new) for about half price.
