Just wondering what all pieces have you planned or do you plan to wrap?

I'll be wrapping the following in the black leather:

main outter hoop of door panels (if you've ever disassembled one you know what I mean, LOL)
both Sail panels
all hatch plastics
both trunk panels

The following will be hydro-dipped as I get the funds:

speedo/driver vent Bezel
stereo surround
door map pockets/speaker pods
top of center console
door handle bezels
window/door lock switch panels
triangle mirror bolt covers atop door panels
dome light housing
both a-pillars (driverside will be a Autometer 3 pod pillar though)

My dash is already dyed black with SEM dye. Holding up great too, been a year since i did it. I also have some custom flamed leather inserts for the door panels I'll be putting in on reassembly. And the arm rests I'll just dye black like I did the dash.

I wish I could get the hydro-coated pieces done right now but thats well over $500 in hydro-dipped parts listed, LOL. So they will get done as I can get them done. But my goal is to have my interior finished by the end of summer at the latest.

Just kinda skimmed this thread , I dont have time read it all right now .

My quik thoughts . If u must use aerosol based spray can . I would ONLY use this brand . This is the only brand Ive had sucess with .
http://www.yourautotrim.com/perhittrimad.html

All the aerosol 3m stuff Ive used has been utterly worthless . The chemicals they need to use with a aerosol can really compromise the integrety of good strong bond that will last forever .

If u want long term durabilty , jus *** up the cash for a brush on adhesive like DAP, 3m fast bond or Helmatin .

It wont unstick if done properly from the onset . For vinyl , almost all quality vinyl manufactures recommend just a mixture of hot soapy water and good rinse . For leather , soapy water and a good ph balanced cream like leathermaters .

Just got back from the upholstery shop & after talkin to them if this product performs as well as they claim it'll be the only adhesive I ever use on a interior job. Even another customer waiting in line said he uses it at his shop & wont use anything else.

Hope it works out. I know alot of die hard Sprayway products fans, and they seem to be in love with anything they make. I might have to step over from the Stoner's boat and try out some of their stuff.

Well got a little bit done. Didnt get the panel completed due to the kiddos requiring play time before the rain moved in, lol. I'll finish it up throughout the week & hopefully get ahold of a camera by the end of the week to get a pic up.

As for the adhesive it seems to be working flawlessly & not hard to work with at all.

I don't have much to add. All I have really done is wrap the center console like Viking's second version (cupholders in rear deleted), the flap between the trunk, my amp rack on the back wall, and as for my dash, I just bought an excellent condition ebony dash. As you can see, I don't have much to add. I don't expect to have much more for quite a while.

I was gona make a thread this morning with pics. I got one of my door panels wrapped & am working on some trunk pieces right now. Its slow goin honestly. I still have to send off my map pocket, door handle bezel & door lock/window switch panel to get hydrodipped before I can start reassembling the panel though. Getting the armrest dyed black will be quick & easy like the dash was thankx to SEM dye. The sprayaway glue is AWSOME. It wasnt hard to work with & I didnt need a heat gun. I wrapped it outside in the sun & the leather was plenty soft. Took me about a hour & half to get this piece done. Not bad for my first time ever wrapping a piece in leather with adhesive involved.

My wife sent one of the pics I took on her phone but the rest didnt make it thru. I'll have her send them again but here is the one I have so far. Not the best, but I got several other angle shots if she can get them emailed to me. I'll get more pics of other pieces as they are finished.

(ignore the smudge on the panel, thats some dirt I need to wipe off, LOL)

(kinda blurry, I'll get a better pic of the entire piece)
