Oh, and here's those Emblem Pros pics I promised. I'll have installed pics Tomorrow.
They are the Stainless Steel with Reflective black Acrylic inserts, like the ones used in their ZR1 badges.

Looks awesome Johnny!! I have those emblems but in a different style. They're extremely easy to clean and maintain also. I have a heat gun if you wanna lay that carpet down and smooth it out some more. Just let me know.

I think that the heat gun is the only thing that's gonna work on it, it didn't want to stay in place at all around that cross area where the rear seat humps are.

If you mean the top leak then no. The thing is so old it sags and holds water between the top frames and it slowly soaks through because the waterproof coating on the inside of the canvas is totally gone. I've used some top cleaner and restorer in addition to outdoor scotchguard however and that seems to keep the water off pretty well until I can get around to installing a new top. I can drive in the rain and it won't leak, but when it has standing water that's when it leaks. So If I get caught by a rainstorm while I'm at work I'll just throw a car cover over it and it's fine. It's garaged at home so I really don't have to worry about the interior getting wet again. New weatherstripping couldn't hurt though.

Yeah they look real clean, don't you have yours custom etched as well? Oh, off topic, have you painted that new hood yet?

Kinda custom. It was an option to choose. I haven't seen any others, but that doesn't mean anything. I like'em though. I need to polish them bad. I put the SS camaro fillers in and they out shine the emblems lol. I haven't painted the hood yet. Still gotta make it functional. Probably will here soon. Whenever you need that heat gun let me know or we can meet up at steve's. That or PM me and I'll give you my cell.

I am glad you posted these pics. I have been considering red carpet for my TA. It has the red leather seats already. I pulled the old carpet and scrubbed it and made it look much better, but still keep trying to picture the red carpet in it. I like it.

I'm glad that this has changed a few peoples minds about the red stuff in our cars.

So what do you think? Be harsh. How do you review this carpet AND the floor mats? I'm considering stockinteriors for my future project and I wanted ultra plush with the backing, so I'm interested in your opinion. Fit? Quality?

It weighs 50 pounds, has massbacking which adds most of the weight, it's basically the same thing as tire rubber, it gets a bit tar like when it heats up. It has really thick jute padding around the transmission hump and floor pans. It is molded EXACTLY to the floorpan, but comes oversized so you have some leeway to trim. The back edge that goes into the hatch is trimmed with either leather or a fake leather. It has no plastic/rubber crap like a heel pad, so it's just like factory. It's quite plush, and adds new car smell, or the same smell that pepboys has.
The floormats are made of the same material as the carpet and are rubber backed with cleats so they stay in place. They are bound with thick twine, it's really high class compared to vinyl bound mats. They even came with holographic official GM tags. They have embroidery patterns on the site as well.
If I ever do this again or to another vehicle I will use this company again.
