very unique idea, but i would have a very hard trime reading that during the day. Night time shouldnt be an issue.
I just hope that you plan to keep the car long term, or you saved the originals as you will have a hard time selling the car with that in there.

Lol thanks for the compliments and the complaints :-) The joys of modding cars is seeing both the leg humpers and the leg pissers alike.
Yes, it does take some adjusting to in order to see it during the day, but it isn't really too hard the numbers are shadowed..but again...pictures don't do it justice.
I personally did not make these...this is strictly a product of 6litereaterdesigns.com...and up until mcnord (jerk! jk) discovered the backlit graphics in the overlays...this encompassed the vast majority of options possible.
brief shakedown for those with weak eyes ;-) ..
Speedo: omg=100, wtf= 160 and ftw=200
Fuel gauge: Go!, Slow!, Stop!
Voltmeter is normal
Oil pressure: Boom!, 40, 80
Temp: 160, 210, Fukt!
i do plan on keeping this car for a really long time, and regardless...i still have the old overlays
the needles are the "s86" needles (also available on 6le's website)...very easy stock replacement needles. they come in any color you want to match your leds or whatever else your heart desires.
the leds i am using are the blue 360 degree bulbs from sooperbritel3d's.com (say it outloud and decipher it...i don't think they are a sponsor) and there are no hotspots!
i will post up a link to a vid i took so you can see the gauges in pitch black lighting.
thanks again guys...i appreciate all your comments, positive and negative :-)
oh and i specifically asked for no receipt so i wouldn't have to think about what i had just bought. it is a lifetime purchase though...and the calibration for the 200mph had to be done as well!
