Will 15x4 Telstars work without grinding or spacers?
I just got a set of 15x4 Centerline Telstars from a guy in town. He ran them on his 2000 Camaro. Anyways, he said that I will have to run a spaceror grind my front calipers a little to keep these wheels from rubbing. I thought that everyone said that the Centerlines fit without grinding or spacers? Anyone know why I am having to ti grind or run spacers? Is it safe to run 5/16" spacers on the front?
Thanks.

Well..... He is correct of my knowledge. Centerline wheels do not need grinding or spacing BUT those are on the Convo Pro and/or the Warrior wheels. The Telstar wheels will more than likely need it. Why I don't know but I would imagine there is a reason why they won't bolt right on. I would LOVE to have a set of Telstars BUT I'm kinda lazy(more or less) and don't really like the idea of grinding on my caliper and IMO the spacers look weird.
I have seen a couple peopl run spacers(not sure exactly what size) but you will probably have trouble with passinf tech at some race tracks.<-- I think you have to have like 1/2 of an inch thread protruding through a nut at most tracks.

Passing tech at our track is no problem. I have seen people run 10 second passes without cages and not get kicked out. I would rather grind the edges of the calipers than run spacers. I will try them tonight and see what needs to be done. I guess I assumed that since the convo pros and warriors worked that the Telstar would be the same.
Thanks.

Well if your track doesn't worry about teching. It wouldnt really matter.
I would find the guy you bought the wheels from and look at his car and see how much needs to be removed so you won't just be over working yourself going through the endless trial and error. LOL

I installed the wheels this weekend. I am using a 1/4" spacer and still had to grind the front calipers some. I believe the LTI's don't require any grinding.
