Hello evertone! This is my first post. I am really interested in the raised hood for my Trans Am. Is there any more info or pics up for this yet? Thanks!

Hey guys, sorry about not having pics up from Saturday. I was not able to drive the car to VFN on Saturday, car was not ready from a fuel pump swap. Going there Tues or Thurs with the car, the hood is waiting for me!!!
4" SS hood, looking like 3 or so weeks before a protoype would be made, but we did talk for an hour about the design. Thinking 3" high scoop... The new hood would have to be wider than the stock one to have a nice transition on the sides. Figure a straight back design with no or minimal tapering.

Sounds cool! The ss hood in 4 inch design would be too high I think. It's not like we really have to have the clearance.

I was thinking tha same thing....... 4 inches would be kindda high...... dont wanna car thats looks like allll hood if you know what i mean....... frineds will be callin me hood. never the less i think that 3 inches would be perfect. How high is the ZL1 hood from DG motor sport... looks kindda low I would like to see like an intermadiate size combination of the the orginal ZL 1 hood 4 " and the dgsport zl1 hood. I thihk that the perfect size hood came with the 95 camaro SS not too big and not to small but damnnnnnnnnnnnnn it was noticable and mean looking

I mean the scoop opening would be about 3 inches or so. The stock LS1 SS scoop opening is pretty small, it's about 2 inches or a wee bit less.
Anyone got some side pics of the ZL1 car from the side? I wanted to see if the hood tapers in a bit in the back or goes straight back.

Mr. John, don't have any pics of the zl1 but would like to suggest having the cowl come back angled over the wipers instead of choping it straight down like on the ws6 hood you have. I think it would look a little better and flow with the steep slanted windshield. Just my .02

Yeah, if it tapered back a HAIR, it may look pretty nice. Just so long as the hood is noticeably bigger as far as the width of the scoop is too.
A little wider, a little higher, it should be damn nice.
I've seen a side shot of the ZL1, but not sure where.

By the way, I would be next in line for a 3 inch SS hood.
