just waxed my new SS
so just wash and waxed my new 00 ss, I did a dish soap rinse to strip the wax followed by a claybar. I then hit it with meguires (spelling?) cleaner wax, then #7 (which i hated), and then topped it off with NXT tech wax 2.0. I have mixed feelings on the wax, it leaves a nice finish but its hard to get off after it dries and ANYTHING that hits the paint smudges. overall it looks nice tho, this was all done by hand, no portercable. I also hit the rims with a powerball and some polish.
EDIT: more pictures on page 2
after dish soap
after wax
and the interior, i used some wax conditioner and the armor-alled everything, shampooed the carpets and then cleaned all the glass.

BIG difference. It looks awesome. If you don't care for that wax I would use Meguiars Gold Class paste wax. I tried it the other day with AMAZING results. It took all the holograming and swirls out of my paint with only one application.

NXT is a great wax.
You need to let it dry completely which on average 30-40 minutes, if not more. Then take it off with a clean terry cloth towel (get some ones from a automotive store, not bath towels). Buff hard to knock off the wax then buff to the a clean shine.
#7 Glaze cannot be allowed to dry, its great on our cars but if you use too little product, taking off can be a pain.
If you have any other questions you can PM me.

^^ NXT is one of those waxes that need to harden, also I am accounting for the average detailer who puts on way too much product. Let it dry sufficently.
Please check out this link.
It is called "The Swipe Test"

I use it ALL the time.
