Default wiremod, sub install, painted brakes and more

alright so this was apart of another one of my threads but i didnt think it fit, just picked up my new ss and for the past few days ive been tinkering with things.

heres the engine bay after a good detail, theres still some work to be done tho.

and the wiremod

heres my stereo install, the amp volume/control is in the hole next to the cig lighter and you can see the rockfor fosgate punch amp and the 2 mtx 10" jack hammers (and its just for the added base, not to shake the car)

nice and hidden

here are the brakes, i know everyone and their mom does red but i like the contrast between the black brackets and rims and the blue of the car. If i were to do a dark color like black or blue it would be too hidden with the dark color of the car and rim.

heres what i started with

and the finished product

i also added a shorty antenna, i didnt like how the car looked like a remote control car.

Looking good man. I thought about subs one day for the back of my T/A but my golf bag fits perfectly in there ... so no subs haha. Keep up the good work

Looks good. Love the calipers. May I ask what process you used to paint those? Clearcoat?

I'd switch to two stealth boxes and do one on each side for a cleaner install. Plus you'll have more room to put **** back there and it'll still be hidden. Looks real good though.

ok so got the rear brakes done... these came out well but i had a little difficulty. It had been raining on and off all day and i had to get the car done by early the next morning so i opted to paint the brakes when there was a break in the rain and let dry in my garage. well i started painting and i think cause of the humidity it was causing the paint to fisheye so i had to sand and repaint. but all is good, they came out nice.

heres everything all taken apart, notice i crimped the brake line so more air didnt get in the line.

heres the VHT spray i was using, on top of my 315s

Heres the brakes baking in some work lights, i did this with the fronts too. it helps harden the paint because for the first few hours the paint is on the caliper is is sort of "gummy" but when it hardens its rock solid.

and heres the finished product, it was late that night and still needed to bleed the brakes which would wait till morning. I also wirebrushed the hi-hats on the disc and threw some paint on them, the pads will rub the paint off with no problems.

wow, looks really great so far, really like the clean engine. I'm going to be painting my calipers next weekend as well. Audio system is pretty impressive too. Where did you get that shorty antenna, I could definitely use one.

By the way, Phi Alpha

Engine bay looks good, have you thought about relocating your grounds, traction control mod and hood latch cable mod to clean it up more too?
