I am looking to get a hood ASAP! I was looking for any pictures with this type of hood installed.

PS. Are they any other hoods out there for a <img border="0" alt="[Camaro]" title="" src="graemlins/camaro.gif" /> Z28 other than the SS hood?

That's the same hood I have that I posted. It's the glasstek 4" cowl hood. Here's a pic of mine.

I have many pictures of it from all angles, just email me if you are interested in seeing them. I even have pictures from the inside view.

There are other hoods out there but they just don't go well with a Z28 IMO. Go check out www.ls1speed.com and go to there catalog, put in your info and check the appearnace section. They show some on there. Good Luck!

minus my 3pc spoiler, it was ripped off early spring,plans to have both hood and replacement spoiler repainted at the same time.

I have a couple of LS1 cowl pics on my PC...
They aren't hosted. If you email me from my sig, I will reply them to you.
I have pics of 2.75" and 4" cowls on LS1 cars.
You can also check here for some pics, he has cowl hoods posted, and it's a great site.

www.usbody.com has the same hood, I think the companies are affiliated.
www.americansportscar.com has a variety. 2.75" cowl also.
There is a company out of Chattanogga TN that markets on eBay. They have a variety. They are affiliated with Choo-Choo Conversions. A company that does truck and van custom conversions.
Suncoast Creations has a unique ram air hood.
SLP has their own style ram air hood.
These are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

I am a fan of the z-style hood, personally. I haven't seen many with it, so it is rarer than some. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

 

I think I going with the 4 inch. Where can I get one? Also was there a lot of block sanding to make the hood look straight?

Are you reffering to that "SS" hood they are talking about making in the other post in this forum?
Did you sell the Cowl Hood already? If so I was wondering, how much you got for it?

Yeah, the SS/ZL1 in the other thread, no plans to sell my cowl as of yet(might hang on to it for a spare or a wall hanger).

Spoiler: rksport/fiber glass, whoever ripped it off probably thought it was urethane and taped on, the bottom base parts and chunks including where it was bolted through was still on my Z. Fricken morons, its no good to them either.

 

I bought the VFN 4" Cowl. Cars at the shop right now getting the hood and stirpes painted.
