Default Tree Resin/Sap help needed.

Well being that I live at an apartment. If the sun is out I don't cover my car. I washed my car yesterday and woke up to this on my car today.
Now I noticed some on there before I washed it and I scrubbed it out. But this is ridiculous. It's ALL over the car. I mean there seems like there is no way to do this with out an electric buffer. Any Ideas? Yesterday the car was squeeky clean and now this. I was hoping to take it and get it waxed this weekend before I head down to NC on the 23rd.

Try to claybar it with QD. If that doesn't work, you may want to try a solvent.

Not sure what type of solvent if any at all. But its not the black specs, its the Orange type of spots.

I mean I can SCRUB and I mean I have to SCRUB hard to get these spots out.

Don't do that. You'll replace the sap with some serious marring instead.

Goo Gone and WD-40 come to mind. Remember that solvents will strip any sealant or wax you have on, so be prepared to reapply.

The clay bar should remove the sap and stains. The Silverado sits outside and I just noticed the sap has returned

For things like Pine sap, Alcohol will work wonders.

If you have access to to steamer it will take it right off. I have had really bad luck using clay, sap remover, goo-gone, and polish to take off hardened sap.

But wouldn't that also take off any clearcoat that I may have left? Its a 97 Vette. Will it damage the paint? Same goes for the Goo Gone and the other solvents?

Rubbing Alcohol will not damage Clear Coat, Actually with some detailing products and when it especially comes to a paint "Sealant" you need the cleanest prepped surface possible.

I had a Pine tree on my old 94 z28 (Black) litterally blew it's sap load on my bumper and only with some store bought rubbing alcohol and a textured sponge was I able to get it off.

Just a quick Rubbing with alcohol didn't work. Looks like I will be hitting it with a Clay bar this Sat.
