Hlaalu's headlights ** 99.9% completed **
EDIT: Lights are finished, just need to work out some kinks in the HIDs.
How-to guide: https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearanc...de-hlaalu.html
BUILD:
These are going to be the coolest headlights you will ever see.
Just got my brand new sonars in today (they also came with the blinkers that I might tint a bit)
Mods will include:
HID 6000k lights for them
Taking out the cheap led halos and putting in CCFL red rings (not sure if I'll be doing all 4 or just the inner 2 rings)
Painting a few things here and there...
Check back soon for updates!

good luck bro...I dont know if I would do the Red Halo..police might not like it....but on another note, Since your going to swap to CCFLs, Id paint the chrome piece around the projector flat black. You dont even have to tape anything off, just use Krylon fusion and it blends in perfect.

ebay, bought the headlights and the blinkers for $160 ish after shipping.
yeah i'm not going to be rolling around with the red halos on, they will mainly just be for fun/shows/impressing women
Why flat? I was going to paint that gloss, as well as the bottom if you're able to tell in the picture.

I say remove the halos completely, and paint the rest black. Also, delete any led's that are in their. You'll be much happier. Halos are gay, and when they burn out you'll be pissed. I retrofitted projectors into a new set of stock lights and couldn't be happier. I heard those projectors aren't half bad for what they are. Mine were really expensive, but I am very happy with the turnout. Here they are, and those would look similar to mine if you painted black and deleted the halos. Here they are with 6k d2s bulbs in acura tsx projectors.

I didnt notice the bottom part was chrome. You can use gloss, I only said use flat because I assumed most of the shroud was flat. Im sure you could use VHT niteshades as well.

Ah I see, I didn't know if flat did anything for the lighting or whatever. It's hard to tell if it's flat or gloss inside, I guess I'll wait till I pop them open to find out.

They are "sylvania silverstar" 3157 bulbs. I hate them, I just want to find a good set of white LED 3157's... Don't waste your money on them. Sorry for the

I'm curious to see how it all looks when that's done.
